  1. I’m going to try this tmmr dude! I literally spent 4 hours trying to kill him with my fly incantation, then I found this spot but struggled getting up there, since I’m a dragon build this was a perfect little trick to be informed about 😉

  2. right after i had to learn my own way to beat him this was released, sad i wasted time but also happy i managed to beat him without cheese

  3. Hey I have a mage build so I don’t have the points to use in faith. Are you sure you can get up there normally? Been trying for a bit and can’t make the jump.

  4. Why do you need to cheese this boss? There’s already built in cheese: equip serpent spear, spam heavy attack. Summon mimic for an even easier time. People who struggle with this boss confuse me

  5. I think we are meant to find these cheeses and use them. I mean look at the two Commander boss fights, Nail and O'neil, reskinned bosses of each other yet fought in very different arenas and about as far from each other on the map as possible… with the exact same cheese to beat them. It's fairly obvious to try to get up into the trees to pepper O'neil with arrows from a safe spot. But this isn't obvious at all for Nial, unless you give it a try because you remembered how you beat the other one, almost as if Fromsoft is hinting at it. And then they left a teeny tiny opening for you to try it that actually works. So yes I think Fromsoft appreciates the smell of a good cheese.

  6. The real “cheese” for me was discovering you could do a follow up attack after charging the spear you get for this fight. This is like saying someone found Pinwheel cheese lol.
