Australia is dealing with a wages slump. New figures show workers’ pay only went up 0.7 per cent in the March quarter, or 2.4 per cent in the past year. With inflation at 5.1 per cent; it means wages have essentially gone backwards.

So why is this the case? Finance Editor Gemma Acton joins Michael Usher on The Latest to explain.
